Digital Video Marketing

Today’s markets are full of tech-savvy consumers who demand more than what commonplace internet and commercials can offer. Video production services are becoming imperative to businesses that want to succeed in the current business environment. Promotional videos, corporate videos, and other organizational needs that touch on videos are thus a necessity for organizations. Digital video serves as the most cost-effective and progressive method of getting the message to the consumers. In fact, it is hands down the perfect method to capture the attention of the audience and articulate your point.

While digital videos are proving to be a swift and revolutionary manner of closing the gap between consumers and businesses, quality and professionalism does determine their influence. There are so many dull videos in the market while only well-done videos can woo clients and invoke the much-needed appeals. For a company that wants to dive off into the blue ocean, only a promotional video production company that does more than boring consumer interviews or bleak sales video appeals will spur the right results. Choosing a promotional video production company with the creativity to develop backgrounds for film and T.V. will spell the impact on the market.

A top-notch promotional video production company will breathe life into dreary technicalities and make fantastic commercials. You will videos that inspire viewers with a mix of high-end productions, entrancing scripts, and eye-catching simulations. Unique production techniques will differentiate your content from those of competitors or rivals. Moreover, there is nothing as important as delivering lucid content to ensure that both satellite offices, as well as universal consumers, can stream with ease. Finally, on-demand graphics, audio, and camera support will push video promotions to the next level. Consider services from a renowned promotional video production company today and move your business to the next level in this all-digital era.

The Disconcerted Boy

He lay awake in the dead of the night, and his eyes were ajar as though he could dissect through the thick, viscous darkness. Although tired, his mind wasn’t, and it raced hither and thither, making him contemplate on a host of issues. He thought he could be this or that, but all that was just in the making of his mind, which couldn’t let him catch the much-needed nap. “When will morning come?” He asked himself, but the answer to that question was not forthcoming. It was like an unknowing kid trying to solve a convoluted, unnerving mathematics matrix.

Watching from afar, you would tell that the boy’s problems were deeply rooted. Missing meals or eating food that was barely enough for the enzymes let alone the body’s cells was a mundane thing. But he was already used to that. His body had grown weak, and the stuck out ribs were a testament to the nutritional injustice that the boy was forced to endure. But he had learnt to make it through hunger-intensive days. He and his younger brother had found a spot in the forest with wild fruits, which would give their stomach something to hold on to until their father came from hunting, which would at times take days.
Last year, the village pastor preached hard about education. He praised education highly, asserting that it was the only key to the door to a wealthy and prosperous life. The evangelistic campaign that took a week or so was well attended, and the boy never missed as well. But who would take him to school? His father did not think of education as an anything important, and he brushed off his son the moment he mentioned about his wishes to go to school. That is what bothered the boy, and he lay awake, his mind mixed with desperation and ideas that would enable him access  education.

Nairobi, you are still beautiful

I recall how unbusy Nairobi was while I was little. I’d leave school and visit my dad’s workplace for a game of Mario, which was pretty advanced back then, before he and I could finally hit the road for our small village town Kandisi. It was simply beautiful.

Over the years though, the capital city of Kenya has gone from a humble town that was easily accessible to a congested business hub where everyone from the street guy to the co has to use the small ration of oxygen wisely. But it is still beautiful, of course depending on how you look at it.

Yesterday I spent more than an hour waiting for  someone, and I used the time to observe the busyness. It was beautiful. Seeing managers, business people, and jobless people (the high unemployment rate is really a factor in the congestion of the city) run up and down, brushing each other’s shoulders literally was beautiful. I just wished my boss would transfer me from the suburb workstation and have me right by his wing, right at the heart of Nairobi.

Ebola, One critical reason to raise sanitation standards in Africa

water kid

Africa is all over the news world over for a negative cause, once again. Like previous times, people are dying, not of hunger or civil war, but because of Ebola. Other parts of the world are also at risk of Ebola, but the focus is not in those countries as much as it is in Africa. Why? Because sanitation levels are low, and this promotes the spread of Ebola. President Obama and Africa’s ministers in ministries in charge of water share this opinion.

Although no data connecting Ebola outbreaks and water crises exist, the current Ebola crisis should have illuminated how poor access to water and sanitation facilities can exacerbate the deadly viral disease. African governments ought to learn from this scourge and accelerate investments that will increase access to water and sanitation. The Ebola crisis might be the price Africa has to pay for its negligence on water and sanitation. It also plays as a blessing in disguise; while no one wanted the outbreak to occur, it is now forcing African stakeholders to take action to increase investment in water and sanitation.

Against this backdrop, it is clear that firms such as Tile and Carpet – manufacturer of Top Tank, Kentank, Roto Moulders, and many other companies that lay emphasis on water and sanitation products are key in ensuring that our sanitation levels are top notch. Importantly, though, everyone ought to be conscious of their access to water and sanitation, as the government’s capacity to increase water infrastructure may fall short of the country’s needs. As such, take time to visit Equity Bank, to find out how they can finance you for your water and sanitation needs through maji loan and jamii safi loan products. Don’t be prone to Ebola and other water and sanitation related diseases.

Are Tablets and Smartphones Replacing Computers? Not Yet…

Am pretty sure the smartphone wave has hit almost every person old enough to own an electronic gadget. I smile when I see old people the likes of my second president and third holding smart gadgets and fumbling with them while trying to do one or two things with them. This simply implies that everyone who has always wanted to be connected to the internet and work smart on the go has been able to do that thanks to the competitive electronic market, especially when it comes to smartphones and PDAs. As such, many have abandoned their old PCs and diverted attention to the small and powerful smartphones that are available on almost every startup electronic shop. But is it proper to spend so much time on your tablet, smartphone, or PDA, and divert attention that was previously accorded to PCs?
Although smartphones and other similar devices are highly advanced and portable, we still need to stick to full-functional PCs to spur private and corporate productivity. Portable devices can do so many things, and appear to be alternatives to PCs. They are used to browse the Web, do emails, watch videos, record and track GPS coordinates, find locations, play complex and high resolution games, and of course, run a host of apps that are offered freely or on a price. In the same vein, smartphones seem to be better off to computers when it comes to automated functions that require mobility such as taking pictures, finding locations, and interacting on the internet while on the go. So substituting PCs with tablets and smartphones seems like a no-brainer. But it depends on what you use your computer for and if you care about real productivity, development, and other complex functions that only call for the processing speed and convenience of a workstation or PC.
Web browsing on a small gadget or tablet is a mixed bag. You cannot open heavy websites, complex sites, or highly interactive sites on a small gadget or a tab. They seem to be only fit for light browsing and users experience limitations when they need to open dozen sites at one go. Remember that most mobile devices can only open sites that are compatible with mobile browsers. Opera Mini, Dolphin, UC browser, Firefox, Chrome, and Internet explorer apps may be great when it comes to mobile browsing, but they are not suited for certain data amounts and web features. Email is another thing to put into thought. Let us say you are subscribed to certain Internet Service Providers or you have to access your work emails through special email arrangements. Smart devices aren’t smart in such instances, and it is hard to access such special email services on them. They are only great for accessing Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft’s Hotmail, and other similar emailing services that have special apps that can be installed on smartphones and tablets.
Smartphones and tablets are limited when it comes to real office work such as massive typing, editing, designing, and printing. It is hard to do all or some of these tasks on a small screen. In addition to that, smartphones and tabs grapple with conversion of soft copy documents to printed or hard copy material. Newest devices can do so over wireless networks and Bluetooth, but the hassle is still great, and many smartphone users do not even know how to go about that. Some gadgets will function with wireless keyboards, but the screen size still stands as a hurdle. Moreover, office work requires office suits that can do intense editing, which remains to be a challenge for smartphones and tablets.
Lastly, you might want to spend more time on your PC than on your smartphone if you are a serious developer or use software that require high processing power. Although mobile devices are currently being employed for development purposes using programming environments such as TouchDevelop, most development languages work best on fully-functional PCs and workstations. shutterstock_115365787

Imagine you are to write a report that is entirely dependent on you co-workers. Some of the workers are not in the same station, and you have to do follow-ups through email and phone calls. However, the communication channels are not that open, and the colleagues are anything but cooperative. What do you do?

Here are ways that will probably help when working with difficult people:

Avoid labeling or judging co-workers

If you put it in your mind that you are dealing with a difficult co-worker, you are setting up the scene to be difficult. Subconsciously, you may put your workmates in this group and then expect them to exhibit the same behavior every time. These preconceptions that take place even before you engage someone in a task or conversation impact the outcome and nature of the conversation negatively. Resist the urge to judge or label, even though the behavior of a colleague is disturbing or irritating.

Step back before you give a response

The natural retort to a problematic workmate may be a critical or a quick comeback. Restrict yourself. The response may come back and trouble you and cause the engagement or conversation to go slumping downwards. Trust that the workmate does not mean to be unbecoming. The more you separate the person from the behavior, the lesser the probability that you will have to consider their reaction as a personal attack. Take time and compose yourself, and consider the response you will give, instead of jumping into an immediate reaction.

Stop desiring they were different

How often have you thought, “If only he were more positive, responsive, or dependable?” Stop squandering your irredeemable mental energy and time on a futile act as wishing as you’ve probably appreciated by now that wishing doesn’t always work. Hard people are not exasperating you on purpose – and the most effective way to see a difference in them is to transform your behavior and thinking.

Innovations in the Banking sector

Innovations in the Banking sector
Every corner of the earth is catching up with innovations. From the agricultural sector to the mining field, technological innovations have become mundane. Working through traditional means has become a thing of the past, or at least uncommon in most sectors and industries. The banking sector has not been left behind as it is flooded with a plethora of innovations and technological solutions that aid consumers in banking and bring banking services closer to clients. Common innovations include:
This method of innovative banking enables clients to carry their transactions through secure websites. Advantages of e-banking include:
• Convenient transactions
• No need for long queues
• Account opening becomes easy and simple
• Consumers can apply for loans
• Stock trading and investments
Core Banking
Core banking refers to the services offered by a group of bank branches that have been linked to facilitate transactions from any of the branches in the network. This innovation is mostly associated with retail banking and many banking institutions treat their retail clients as core banking consumers, and hold a separate line to manage their businesses. Bigger businesses are managed through corporate banking sections of banking institutions. Advantages of core banking include:
• Easier depositing and loaning of money
• Core banking services
• Better assessment of the needs of consumers
Rural Banking
Rural banking offers and regulates credit services for the development and promotion of rural sectors especially in village, SSI, agriculture, and handicraft industries.
Innovations are greatly needed in the banking sector, and flexing the archaic regulations flooding the sector can assist in increasing the access of banking services to people. Flexing the rules and removing barriers will allow even more innovators than are currently in the sector to develop products and start-ups that will make banking easier, fun, and more accessible.

Second Chances

Imagine how things would have been different if you had not made certain mistakes in life. But mistakes are always there, so better yet, try to imagine if you utilized every opportunity to correct the mistakes you made in the first place. Wouldn’t life be better that way? Well, guess what, second chances are always there for us to renew our lives, be better, correct the past. But are second chances a blessing or a curse to you?

Second chances go a long way in defining us. As a matter of fact, it’s a well-established fact that everybody makes mistakes, act in ways that are wrong according to the society’s outlook, and stand at the mercy of “second chances.” Second chances could be both a blessing and a curse. Second chances could be a blessing to those who exploit their opportunities for the better, to move on from their loss, to make up for the mistakes made, and get a novel grasp on life. Some will become better mentally and become of assistance to others who are at risk of the same plight. It’s helping others from succumbing to the loss, or from bestowing the loss on their lives. You never regard what you have as valuable until it’s lost due to errors. Having someone change their mind from a negative perspective to a positive one is a blessing and without second chances, there would never be any occasion to twinkle. Nor would there be the chance to make oneself better, to assist others, to change, or to become perceived or known as a great leader with great visions.

Second chances can also be a curse mainly in situations where a person who has been given a second chance sees it as an opportunity to perpetuate corrupt actions. Such people use second chances as opportunities to get out or way from quandaries or predicaments. It is as though such people are liberated only to devise schemes that will make them get away with corrupt or immoral actions in the future. Some can’t utilize second chances because they take steps needed to achieve full changes as too big to achieve. This is a clear demonstration of lack of self-worth. Others never learn from their initial mistakes, and they keep on doing the same wrong things over and over making second chances worthless.

While some regard additional chances as extra opportunities not to be caught again, others regard them as opportunities to turn a new leaf. There are myriad ways to turn a new leaf, and they are all worth exploring as people can lose so much by their mistakes: friends, family, jobs, feelings, support, assets, and much, much more. One has to evaluate him or herself first to find out what they want in life and what sort of person they want to become. Then, they can make initiatives to obtain their set goals. Patience, open-mindedness, and letting go off pride at times are needed in order to make it a success. Most importantly, one has to understand that people make mistakes, and it would be good to just move on. It does not help to dwell on the past or to stick to old atmospheres! Once there is a clear perception of what one can be without the influence of any factor or false hope, and then renewal is likelier to occur. All this can occur as a result of a second chance!.

Meeting Targets

I slumped back at the chair and groaned a bit, partly because of the boredom and partly due to the intricacy of the assignment before me. It had been barely a month since I was taken round my new workstation and introduced to workers who seemed to be highly enthusiastic that I was joining their team. The smiles were nowhere to be seen now. The only thing I could see clearly was the challenging task that lay ahead. I tried to comfort myself in the fact that I was one of the lucky ones in the now highly fluid market that was famous for anything but great employment opportunities. “Nonetheless, I must find a way around the challenge that lay ahead,” I told myself.

I took out my phone and dialed some few numbers before I settled down to type the password on the keyboard to the computer that had already gone through the booting process. The few calls that had come to my mind had given me ideas about what to do, at least for a short run. I had spoken to one of the officers working in another branch of the company I worked for, and his response was purely positive. I typed a few things on my schedule list to include what we had discussed with him over the phone, and I also turned on a reminder on my phone to notify me of the tentative schedule that we had setup.

My phone rang on that fateful Monday morning, and I hurriedly picked it to see if it was a call, text, or a reminder. I had become alert over the recent past and treated every phone call as a potential for business. Well, mostly it was just my boss calling to confirm if things were okay and to remind me to send my weekly reports. As I picked the phone, my memory was slowly unclouded, and I could remember the schedule we had made for marketing drives. I looked forward to Tuesday, for it was the day that I would unleash my marketing charm, and hopefully circumvent the huge challenge I had ahead of me; meeting my targets.

View Your Job Differently

Imagine doing what you love and getting rewarded handsomely for just that. Wouldn’t It be lovely? However, in reality, people do all sorts of jobs, most of which they hardly love, just to make a living. Every so often, employers can be heard saying, “You are lucky to be here. Many have applied for this position without success.” Why should we think of it that way? Sadly,  that notion often sinks to the bottom parts of our minds probably because landing a job may have been the culmination of a long and unnerving search for a job.

The universe is a living organism and natural system. Honestly, we all need an opportunity or a shot at what our Creator put us on the universe to accomplish. So the daunting notion “Know that you lucky to have a job, and be content” is not far from a demeaning insult not only to the person to who it is meant, but also to everyone and to everything that we invest out faith in. Surely, we are meant to have more than just a job that feeds us, buys us a TV to watch all the atrocities that take place on earth, take a leave once yearly, and then go to the grave. There has to be more to life than just that, and we can all leave a positive mark behind. We do not have to see things the way everyone does, but everyone can enjoy seeing things his or her own way.
We can make it in our professional atmospheres. A job is not meant to be a burden whose aim is to fund the better part of our lives. Instead, work, professions, and anything that helps us put food on the table ought to be the best parts of our lives. Drop the belief that making that extra effort to make your job interesting is asking for too much out of your job. Make your flame glow wherever you are and in whatever you do in your profession. It will make you feel like you can’t wait to serve your clients or talk to them and share new ideas with your colleagues.
